Pamper Yourself with Massage Therapy

Are you feeling tired, achy, slothful, just out of it? Come see us, let one of our LMT’s work out your kinks. If you haven’t ever experienced a massage at Esthetics by P Brown, then it’s time for you to schedule one.

What is Massage Therapy?

Massage therapy is a treatment where a trained professional (Licensed Massage Therapist – LMT) manipulates the muscles in your body to helps relieve pain, heal injuries and mainly helps you relax.

Our LMTs help knead out knots, improve circulation, reduce other stress points in the body, and (literally)help the body relax.

What Should I Expect During a Massage Session?

When the session starts, you can get as comfortable as you’d like and we make sure you’re covered by a sheet draping along where needed. Our LMT’s are trained professionals and if you choose to undress, it usually makes it a better, more effective appointment because sometimes undergarments can get in the way of the LMT getting to certain pressure points or making the long strokes in your muscles.

Pressure is often added to help reduce pain in the body. Frequently our LMT’s will lubricate your skin with massage oil/lotion and add massage strokes to warm and work the muscles so they can help release the tension which allows for the LMT to give a deeper tissue massage. Depending on how tight your muscles are, there may be a little discomfort as the LMT works on the muscle, but overall, it should be a relaxing treatment. And if you happen to feel pain, please speak up and inform the LMT.

Following the massage, you’ll want to drink a lot of water to continue to flush toxins. You may want to get a massage more frequently than once a year, if possible, you’ll want to get a massage every 4-6 weeks and it would definitely benefit you to make it a part of your long-term wellness routine. Getting your muscles loosened frequently may help reduce injury.

At Esthetics by P Brown, you have the option of scheduling your massage in as small as 30 minutes or up to 120 minutes. The longer the massage, the longer the LMT has to work out the tension in your body.
