Eating To Balance Your Hormones

Do you often find yourself overwhelmed by stress and anxiety, manifesting as physical symptoms in your body? You're not alone! At Esthetics By P. Brown, we understand that your menstrual cycle can significantly impact your well-being. That's why we're thrilled to offer insightful education through our blog on how you can naturally regulate your hormones. Let's dive into some life-changing tips on eating right during your menstrual cycle. Remember to hit 'like' and share this with your friends who might need this guidance!

I don’t know if you know this, but a woman’s menstrual cycle is divided into four phases. Paying close attention to your diet may help your body pass through the phases more smoothly.

MENSTRUAL PHASE (Day 1-5) During this phase, our prostaglandins or inflammatory mediators are also higher at this time. Doctors presume that our prostaglandins may be responsible for cramping. Therefore, consuming anti-inflammatory foods, like Matcha green tea, turmeric, blueberries, broccoli, wild salmon, cacao, flax, etc, can help.

FOLLICULAR PHASE ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ During the follicular phase, ovaries grow and are stimulated. The foods eaten during this phase are related to improving energy production and not eating super “heavy” foods. Therefore, eating healthy fats such as avocado, olive oil, wild salmon, sardines, tuna, coconut yogurt, nuts, seeds, non-starchy veggies, etc.

OVULATION PHASE⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ During this phase, it’s important that you include raw fruits and vegetables into your diet and this is a great time for the Yoni pot. You will want to flood your body with nutrition and regulate your hormones. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

LUTEAL PHASE ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The luteal phase occurs directly before your period begins. During this time, you will want to include root vegetables, grains, and greens into your diet & yoni pot. To rebuild muscle and your cellular walls. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I think it’s important for us to be conscious of what we eat during the phases of our months. I hope this helps you see how the nutrients that you choose to fuel your body & yoni pot can change your relationship with yourself throughout eternity.
