This is my first, of a series of videos that I will be filming regarding Farm to Face Nutrient Rich Masks.
I'm starting with an introduction for my new followers. I am Porsche Brown, the co-owner of Esthetics by P Brown Holistic (full service) Day Spa. I am an Ethnic Skin Care Specialist, one of 170 in the nation and I believe in feeding your skin to get the results you desire. I have been blessed – when it comes to dealing with Hyperpigmentation, Acne, and issues like that in ethnic skin, I’m able to correct the problem at a 96 % accuracy rate, and usually within 90 days to a year. I do this with my skin care line; I have an organic skin care line, a corrective skin care line, and an additional corrective skin care line that’s soon to be released.
When I’m at home... I feed my skin the same way I feed my body. So let's get into the ingredients for this Anti-Acne Organic Face Mask:
Organic Strawberries (1 lb blended) –Loaded with vitamin C (fights free radicals), Folic acid (helps with cellular regeneration), helps clear up acne and fights sun damage.
Organic Spinach(1 lb pureed)– Powerful multivitamin loaded with vitamin C and K, Magnesium CB, vitamin B1 and B6, Omega-3‘s, Selenium and Protein. All the vitamins make it a great instrument for repairing skin, fighting wrinkles, and reducing acne.
Collagen Powder (½ cup)– a lot of people drink collagen powder. Instead of drinking it, I mix the collagen in and use it topically (like you would a cream on your body).
Greek Yogurt (high in protein) ½ cup-Consists of Lactic Acid (aids in diminishing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by tightening the skin and pours), Vitamin D, and Riboflavin (aids in cellular growth). You want to absorb protein and omega 3 fat into your skin, because the American diet severely lacks it.
Lemon– adds vitamin C and acts as a preservative.
Bentonite Clay– it’s a calcium clay – it can be ingested; it is a digestive clay and loaded with calcium. I put about 1 ½ cups into the mask. I caution you to be careful with the clay because sometimes if you add too much it can be too chunky and if you don’t add enough, it can be loose. I caution you to be careful with the clay because sometimes if you add too much it can be too chunky and if you add too little, it can be loose.
Now, combine the ingredients: Starting with strawberries, dump all ingredients in bowl. A lot of my clients have acne and since strawberries are high in antioxidants, they will act as the active agent in the mask. It will start breaking down the oil sebum on their face and the bacteria that is building up with the acne, so if you have grade 1 – 4 acne, this is a really good mask to apply.
Add in the spinach, which is also very heavy in Vitamin C. The mask should be a little chunky.
Fold in the yogurt, at least ½ cup, (you can put as much in as you want). You need a good creamy consistency to your mask – the last thing you want is for your mask to be sliding down your face like in a horror movie. Make sure it’s completely dissolved.
Squeeze in the lemon, mix it in, this will be your preservative.
Fold in the collagen powder, it should start to thicken it up a little. I put in about ½ cup. You can put in as much as you want.
Add in the calcium clay.
If you want to make it more exfoliating, add in almond seed.
Give it a good stir and then apply it to your face. When you use these ingredients as a mask – let it sit on your skin for about 29 - 30 minutes and your skin will simply absorb the benefits, and glow for days.
For those of you who have no interest in making the mask yourself and since we have shifted to “Farm to Face,” this and future masks will be mixed, refrigerated, and found in our retail area. This way you can simply come in and pick one up - we’ll have it in 1.7 oz and 3.3 oz containers.
